Good news! You can now enjoy three articles from our 2011 Women Issue of The World of Chinese. For your viewing pleasure, we have She Blogs, Sheng Keyi’s Lost Girls and Mrs Allen’s Expedition.
She Blogs explores three of China’s most famous (and infamous) female bloggers: the media mogul Hong Huang, sex icon Muzi Mei and sociological writer Li Yinhe, and looks at what they have contributed to the world of social media.
In Sheng Keyi’s Lost Girls, we interview the woman herself, ask what drove her to become an author, and discover the real life situations that inspired her to write Northern Girls – a tale of sexism and manipulation of young women in modern-day China. Be sure to check out our review of her latest release in our most recent issue!
And finally, we have Mrs Allen’s expedition, a charmingly humorous tale of a British woman’s first trip to China to visit her son. It’s a story of sweaty cheese smuggled in suitcases, stealing slippers from unsuspecting trains and appreciating the “culinary delight” of pig guts.
Sound good? You know it does, so head over here to enjoy them all.
